Automotive Solutions

Band Saws

Coil Joining
The requirements on coil joints are constantly increasing.

IDEAL arc welding machines cut and weld coil of various qualities and material combinations using a laser beam in a clamping device.
We offer flash butt welding and arc welding machines in semiautomatic or fully automatic versions with integrated coil end shears for smaller coil dimensions. Reliable MIG/MAG, TIG or plasma welds are produced, which serve the continuous coil replacement without interruption.
Conductors and Cables
IDEAL LS series conductor welding machines are specially designed for the effective joining of conductors and cables as well as sector-shaped and solid conductors of aluminium and copper using the chamber welding process. This creates a homogeneous, pore- and burr-free joint.
With this procedure, the cable or conductor ends are placed in a glass, ceramic or graphite sleeve (chamber) so that the ends touch. The welding sleeve material here depends on either the cable/conductor cross-section or, as may apply, welding machine output. Once the welding process has started, both ends are melted by a flowing current and welded together under a constant feed rate.
Sheet Metal Products

Our NC jig welding machine type CSR has been optimised for the automated sheet metal and wire processing and can perform diverse welding and handling tasks in a set-up.
Due to its modular design, the CSR can be effortlessly equipped for project-related welding tasks or expanded for future tasks. From sheet metal connections and stud welding up to the use of highly complex components with “pick and place” tools, the CSR is always the right solution. Flexibility is the key factor, as a result of which the CSR can be used as a traditional single workstation, as a fully automated system in an assembly line or as an operatorless machining cell.
Wire Joining
IDEAL DS and AS series butt welding machines have been specifically designed for the effective joining of steel, aluminium and copper wires. Their strengths lie in the realisation of precise, repeatedly accurate and draw-resistant butt welds. The compact and robust design of the machine with its intuitive operation is aimed at industrial use in wire-drawing mills, cable factories and in wire processing. Depending on the requirement profile, butt welding (DS), flash butt welding (AS) and dual force welding (DD/STS) processes are utilised. Emphasis was on the operator when designing the DS and AS series butt welding machines, with simple and ergonomic operation in mind. Used around the world, IDEAL DS and AS series butt welding machines have been proving their quality and reliability on a day-to-day basis … and have been doing so for decades.
