Wheel Dressing

Camco can dress all resin bonded, DIA and CBN wheels in a range of shapes up to 250mm in diameter.

Dressing can be done as an individual wheel, with or without arbor, or on a wheel pack.

Our machine will accept all wheel packs from the following machines, Vollerm, Loroch, ANCA, Walter, Schneeberger, Rollomatic, Saacke and many other CNC tool grinding machines.

Dressing Process

Step 1

You send your wheels to us to be dressed. We are able to dress many different shapes, materials and diameters.

Wheels can be sent either mounted on to their arbor, or on their own. We can also have the ability to dress wheel packs to ensure you do not lose your balancing.

Step 2

We dress your wheel on our Cleveland GAPU-4 dressing machine.

With a 20x magnification telescopic video monitor, we can ensure accurate and consistent dressing.

The onboard software allows us to create templates and guidelines for a wide variety of profiles, and recall them when needed.

Step 3

After dressing, your wheels should be balanced. For the most complete system, we recommend workshops to look at balancing and measuring solutions such as GDS, to achieve the best, repeated accuracy possible.

Step 4

After wheels are dressed and balanced, they should then be measured for best results.
